Reading and Discussion

Marsha Cassel wearing a green scarf and a multicolored top with reading glasses atop her hairMarsha Cassel is a quilter, mediator, performer, serial-volunteer, puzzle-junkie, and former public school teacher who immerses herself in all sorts of language matters.  Because she believes language matters: reflecting where we have come from, connecting us where we are, and urging us onward.  She loves a good pun or cross-cultural wordplay and is curious about the history, evolution and choice of words.

As an educator she was honored to be supported by and contribute to the Rowland Foundation and was also pleased to be recognized with a Swenson Educator Award for her work supporting the humanities and 9th -12th grade humans. As a mediator, helping folks to have difficult conversations (and as a reader, too), she grows through recognizing and holding space for multiple perspectives.
