Vermont Humanities is partnering with New Hampshire Humanities and the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program to bring a traveling exhibit to Vermont and New Hampshire.
Museum on Main Street is a Smithsonian outreach program that engages small town audiences and brings revitalized attention to underserved rural communities. the Smithsonian partners with state humanities councils to bring traveling exhibitions, educational resources and programming to small towns across America through their own local museums, historical societies and other cultural venues.
Spark! Places of Innovation, will be hosted in Vermont in the summer of 2026. Each state will support three host sites with Vermont hosting exhibits from June-September and New Hampshire hosting in the fall and winter.
Spark! Places of Innovation is made possible in Vermont and New Hampshire by Vermont Humanities and New Hampshire Humanities.
Spark! is part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils nationwide. Support for Museum on Main Street has been provided by the United States Congress.
