Foundations of Educational Philosophy and Literacy Development
This Never Too Early foundational literacy training offers participants the opportunity to deeply assess one’s own philosophy and current practice in general and in terms of literacy.
This is a live virtual training in combination with an individual action research project and interactive postings in Google Classroom.

Infant and Toddler Learning through Children’s Literature (Curriculum)
This online course invites infant-toddler teachers to explore how meaningful literacy experiences begin from birth—and how thoughtfully chosen picture books can shape curriculum for infants and toddlers in powerful ways. Participants will deepen their understanding of what early literacy truly looks like for very young children, moving beyond letters and words to focus on language development, connection, play, and communication.
Infant and Toddler Social-Emotional Development through Children’s Literature
This online course supports infant-toddler teachers in nurturing children’s social and emotional growth through meaningful, developmentally appropriate use of children’s literature. Participants will explore social-emotional development from birth to age three, grounded in the Vermont Early Learning Standards, with attention to key milestones such as attachment, self-regulation, well-being, communication, and emerging empathy. Participants will consider how everyday interactions can nurture the development of these essentials.
Visual and Experiential Art with Children’s Literature
This professional development training workshop is designed to equip child-care providers with the knowledge and practical skills to enrich the early learning experiences of young children through visual literacy and experiential art.
This course will combine children’s literature, theory, and collaborative exploration, fostering a creative and immersive environment for both educators and the children they care for.
