Seven Days senior multimedia producer Eva Sollberger made her “Stuck in Vermont” video series for 17 years, during an era when video journalism has exponentially grown in influence. Eva reflects on what lies ahead for this video series—and possibly for Vermont—in the coming years. Go behind the scenes into her video making process, hear about the importance of telling local stories, and even get some tips for making your own content.  

About the Presenter

Eva Sollberger produces a biweekly video series called “Stuck in Vermont” for Seven Days. Launched in February 2007, it airs every other Thursday on sevendaysvt.com and a shorter version plays during the Friday evening news at WCAX-TV. Eva has traveled around the state producing over 700 videos about art, culture and quirky characters. “Stuck in Vermont” has racked up more than 5 million views online. The videos have won multiple awards from the Association of Alternative Newsmedia and the New England Newspaper and Press Association. Eva lives in an old Burlington farmhouse and she loves telling stories.
