Silents Are Golden: A Celebration of Silent Cinema
This is an entertaining and educational lecture lavishly illustrated with clips from 100 silent film comedies and dramas from the 1920’s! It is a celebration of the art of physical acting seen through the lens of silent cinema.
Rob’s intention is to shed new light on the acting style of the silent era, while giving modern audiences a fresh look at what made the silent stars shine so brightly. This is Rob’s second lecture in his 3-part series to promote and preserve the traditional cultural history of silent film, circus, and mime.
The show features many silent stars including: Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, Douglas Fairbanks, Greta Garbo, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, and more!
