Veterans Book Groups
Our Veterans Book Groups create an opportunity for veterans to connect with each other, build relationships, read insightful materials, and share experiences. The group’s explorations will include books, poetry, articles, and short stories, with the goal of fostering camaraderie and a safe space to reflect and share ideas and questions.

Participants receive free copies of all readings, and a light dinner will be provided at each session. The groups are free, but pre-registration is required.

Veterans Book Groups were made possible in 2018 with funding from the Ann H. Symington Foundation and the Two Green Angels Fund. We are pleased to be working in partnership with the VA Medical Center, the VA Women’s Comprehensive Care Center, the Veterans’ Place, Northern Vermont University—Lyndon, and the VA Lakeside Clinic to host these groups. Special thanks to Handy’s Lunch in Burlington for donating lunch each month to the Burlington Lakeside Veterans Clinic’s Women’s Book Group for their 2018-2019 series.
