Vermont Reads Grant Opportunities

We are offering each Vermont Reads 2026 host organization an opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $500 to extend their programming around Charity and Sylvia. These grants can be used for items such as:

  • Honoraria for guest speakers
  • Screening costs for films related to the book’s themes
  • Facilities charges and equipment rental costs for special events
  • Transportation costs to events and/or exhibits

We will accept and review applications on a rolling basis, beginning on April 15, 2026 and ending no later than June 15, 2027. Vermont Reads grant awards can be for up to $500 each.

How to Apply

Vermont Reads grants are managed through our Rapid Response Grant program. Applications are reviewed monthly. If you submit your application by the first of the month, you will be notified of the award decision by the 15th of the same month.
