Vermont Reads 2019 Community Book Discussion

April 23
7:00 pm

Waterbury Public Library

How does just one person change the world? What gives a person the courage to face adversity? How does one stay nonviolent in the midst of violence? These are questions that may emerge from reading March: Book One, John Lewis’s graphic novel with Andrew Aydin and illustrated by Nate Powell. The Waterbury community is invited for a lively discussion of civil rights, civil discourse, resistance, racism, and more. Whether you grew up in the Civil Rights era or are from a new generation of Americans, March will provoke, stir your emotions, and open your eyes. Discussion will take place in the library’s SAL Room.
