Three Minutes. A Lengthening. Special Film Screening and Discussion

Live Event
April 27, 2022: 6:00 pm

A snippet of a 16mm home movie found in an attic in South Florida, taken in the late 1930’s, offers a meditative glimpse into the lives of the unsuspecting Jewish citizens of a small Polish village at the precipice of World War II. Narrated by Helena Bonham Carter. A 13-year old, Jewish child featured in the footage, Mr. Maurice Chandler, survived the Holocaust and today is 97 years old, living in Boca Raton, Florida.

Post film discussion with UVM Miller Center for Holocaust Studies Director and Professor of History, Jonathan Huener.

Held in the Fletcher Free Library’s Pickering Room.
