Women’s Suffrage: The Rest of the Story
Vermont Humanities Digital Channels
This free, virtual program will feature Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, a nationally recognized lecturer, author and story-teller of woman’s rights history.
In the 1880s, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Matilda Joslyn Gage were thinking differently than Susan B. Anthony. They were looking at larger issues than voting: creating a system of cooperation, ensuring that every child born was wanted and that women had control of their bodies, rebalancing economic disparity, and gaining equal pay for women.Register for this free event
