Live Event
January 17: 6:30 pm

The cover of The Most Costly Journey book

Author and graphic novelist, Alison Bechdel says of the anthology, The Most Costly Journey: “Every North American should read this book in order to understand the disturbing degree to which we all depend on the self-sacrifice of these workers.”

Join with the Waterbury Public Library for a discussion around themes of immigration, border crossings, language barriers, climate and weather disparities, health crises and working unimaginable long hours.

This anthology of comics depicting the oral histories of migrant workers from southern Mexico and Central America to work on Vermont farms was shortlisted for the Graphic Medicine International Collective (GMIC) Award.
