Southwest Vermont Juneteenth Celebration

Live Event
June 18, 2022: 12:00 pm

Come celebrate and commemorate our country’s newest federal holiday: Juneteenth. This holiday signifies the emancipation of the last enslaved people within the United States. Join multiple southwest Vermont institutions and organizations as we usher in the Juneteenth holiday with a free cookout focused on history, equity, and racial justice. There will be free food, music, activities for youth, games, public speakers, info/announcements, and plenty of family friendly fun.

This event is hosted by the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union and community partners: United Counseling Services of Bennington County, The Town of Bennington, Southwestern Vermont Health Care, Shires Young Professionals, Pave, Bennington Free Library, Vermont Humanities, The Abbey Group, Hildene Lincoln Family Home, the Bennington Rotary Club, and the Bennington Museum.
