Join us for a morning of poetry with last year’s Vermont Book Award Winner in Poetry, Margaret Draft. Vermont Humanities will cover the entry fee for the park, so feel free to explore the wilderness after the event.
Margaret Draft is a poet based in Bennington, Vermont. Winner of the Vermont Book Award for Poetry and Emerging Artist Award in Literature from the St. Botolph Club Foundation, Margaret has also been awarded fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and The Frost Place for their Conference on Poetry. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Barrow Street, Bennington Review, Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere. Her work has also been featured by Blackbird, the New York Public Library, and Poetry Daily. Margaret’s debut collection of poetry, Nowhere Was a Lake, was published by Four Way Books in 2024.

Registration
Entrance to the park will be covered by Vermont Humanities. Please register in advance to attend this in-person program. Families camping at or otherwise visiting the parks will be able to join the presentations without advance registration.
