As part of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom’s celebration of the 19th Amendment, this free, online presentation, featuring Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, will explore important questions. Who were the women presidential candidates in the 1800’s? How did indigenous people influence ideas of women’s suffrage and rights? Who was not included in the suffrage movement? How can past lessons help shape the ongoing creation of our democracy?

About Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner

Dr. Wagner is a nationally-recognized lecturer, author, and story-teller of women’s history. Dr. Wagner’s 2019 Women’s Suffrage Anthology unfolds a new intersectional look at the 19th century woman’s rights movement.
