A whirlwind tour of comics around the world and throughout human history! Join award-winning cartoonist and educator Marek Bennett (M.Ed.) as we explore and explain comics from many corners of the globe — with special attention to how people use sequential visual narratives to share ideas, information, and meaning.

From ancient African and Mediterranean civilizations, to medieval European history, to ancient Mayan libraries; from Chinese landscape scrolls to modern Japanese manga and the great comic book battles of the mid-20th century, and more: this rich worldwide heritage of graphic storytelling can entertain & inform modern readers, as well as inspire comics artists & fans of all ages.
