From her long-running comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For to her family memoirs Fun Home and Are You My Mother? Alison Bechdel has explored in graphic detail the overlap between the personal and the political, the domestic and the global. In this illustrated talk, she discusses how her cartooning has evolved over four decades. The talk will be held in the Grand Maple Ballroom on the fourth floor of UVM’s Dudley H. Davis Center.
Co-sponsored with the Fleming Museum of Art and the UVM Department of English
Note: The Fleming Museum of Art presents an exhibition on Alison Bechdel, exploring her work as a writer, an artist, and an archivist of the self, on view January 30–May 20.
