A Webinar on the Employee Retention Tax Credit Program With Cynthia Moore

Digital Event
May 4, 2023: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Are you leaving game changing COVID Relief Funds on the table?

Did your organization take advantage of the PPP, EIDL, Shuttered Venue Operators Grant, or other Federal grant and loan programs? For many nonprofits, this emergency financial support was critical during the depths of the pandemic.

Far fewer groups know about the Employee Retention Tax Credit program. It’s not too late! Cynthia’s goal is to help nonprofits claim the tax credit before the program expires.

Over the last 5 months, she has helped over 40 organizations file claims for over $6 Million. She has worked with theaters, museums, studios, and other arts organizations, nature and wildlife conservation, social services including food shelves, homeless shelters and youth services, churches, schools, museums, hospice providers and healthcare and animal rescue/humane societies.  She has learned that ALMOST EVERY NON-PROFIT that continued to maintain a payroll during the pandemic has qualified for ERC for at least one quarter.

In this webinar, she will introduce the Employee Retention Tax Credit program and the process for evaluating eligibility and claiming the credit. She will share some case studies of other organizations that have qualified to provide examples of pathways to eligibility. There will be an opportunity to explore specific questions about eligibility and best practices for moving forward to take advantage of ERC before the deadline to claim the credit expires.

About the Presenter

Cynthia Moore has over 30 years of non-profit leadership experience. Prior to launching Operation Fairy Godmother, she was the Executive Director of Sojourns Community Health Clinic in Westminster, Vermont. Within weeks of leaving that position, she was approached by colleagues at several area non-profits asking her to consult with them to help “clean -up” their financial systems, records and processes.

In addition to recognizing the huge number of non-profits that were missing out on the ERTC program, she was also appalled to learn that a number of companies were taking advantage of the opportunity by employing predatory practices including intimidating “sales” pitches and exorbitant pricing models of up to 18% of the claim if paid in advance or 30% if paid upon receipt of the IRS refund.

Realizing the potential benefit, opportunity and need for a trusted, experienced partner in this process, Cynthia set a goal and made it her mission to bring as much ERC funds into the accounts of non-profits with as much integrity and as inexpensively as possible.
