• Make a Gift to Celebrate More than 30 Years • |

· A gift of $40 provides high quality books and programming for: · a low-income Vermont family · teen parents and adults learning to read · a home childcare provider · a middle-school student with fragile reading skills · A gift of $50 enables a Vermont teacher to attend the Council's annual autumn conference, an invaluable opportunity for professional enrichment. · A gift of $75 introduces the parents of young children to a love of books and reading by funding a book and activities bag that libraries lend. · A gift of $150 pays for a middle school student with fragile reading skills to participate in a week-long summer humanities camp. · A gift of $250 brings an experienced humanities speaker to a local library, historical society or service club for a presentation and discussion about history, public issues, music, art or literature. · A gift of $1,000 or $1,500 supports a free book discussion group in a library. The Vermont Humanities Council lends copies of books and provides a scholar to facilitate.
