Who will participate? Members of the community are invited to participate or sponsor a team. We are particularly encouraging local high school students and local businesses and organizations to participate. Last year, 40 three-person teams participated. Every high school in Chittenden County was represented as well as the University of Vermont, Saint Michael’s College, Verizon, and (the eventual winners) Wiener & Gale, PC. Participants not only exercised their brains, but also had a good time doing it.

How does a team sign up? · Send in the registration form · Pay the $275 team fee, or · Check the box on the registration form that requests a sponsorship from an area business. (Sponsorships are only available for schools or nonprofit organizations.)
What is included in the sign-up fee? · Tax-deductible donation · One copy of Paideia, the National Spelling Bee booklet, for each participant · Complimentary lunch following the Spelling Bee |
