“Sharing Our Past — Shaping Our Future” Since 1974

Twice a year, through a competitive grant process, the Council makes awards to museums and libraries, film, music and literary festivals, and local historical societies. These organizations offer exciting events.

 

Spring 2010 Awards

· Bent Northrop Memorial Library, The Golden Cage: Mexican Migrant Workers and Vermont Dairy Farmers exhibit, $500.

· Building a Better Brattleboro, 9th Annual Brattleboro Literary Festival, $3,000.

· Johnson State College, Life in Essex County and Life in Caledonia County video history projects, $1,000.

· Opera Theatre of Weston, The Magic Flute Storybook Opera Project, $2,000.

· Pentangle Council on the Arts, 2nd Annual Bookstock: The Green Mountain Festival of Words, $1,600.

· Stern Center for Language and Learning, 6th Annual Burlington Book Festival, $2,500.
