Fall Conference 2012

The Humanities of the Arab World

November 9 – 10, 2012
Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa, Stowe, Vermont
Each year, the Vermont Humanities Council explores a humanities topic through its fall conference over two days in November.

This year we delve deeply into The Humanities of the Arab World. Modern American attention on the Arab world focuses primarily on only two topics — oil and religion. Join the Vermont Humanities Council at its 2012 fall conference to learn about the literature, poetry, art, architecture, history, and religious traditions of the Arab world.

Stay tuned to learn more. To be sure you are on the announcement list for fall conference details, contact Angelica Caterino (acaterino@vermonthumanities.org).

About Fall Conference — An In-Depth Exploration of a Humanities Topic

Past Fall Conference Topics have ranged from The Power of the Humanities: Why They Matter to Comedy and Satire to Food for Thought to Delight and Wisdom: The Life and Poetry of Robert Frost to the Northern Civil War Home Front.
